Half-time/Hourly starts @$15-20 depending on experience.
This is a challenging, part-time position with an average of 15-20 hours per week, daytime hours flexible.

Responsibilities for this position include administrative support of, communication, and outreach for weekly Sunday services and the Welcome Table including use of social and print media; bookkeeping; general administrative duties and support; general communications including social media and paper correspondence; facility oversight; member assistance; and board support. The preferred candidate will be a creative problem solver with a history of working both independently and as a team. Will train.

Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite and Quicken/Quickbooks or similar accounting software; ability to write well and manage social media
Required education/experience: High school or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors in Business, Communication, or equivalent preferred. Experience necessary.
Job Description for the Administrative & Outreach Professional
The Administrative & Outreach Professional at the UU Meeting House is a demanding, approximately half-time position. Supervision of the position is by the UUMH Council, thus, the job requires reporting to the Council via attendance at monthly Council meetings. This position is reviewed annually by UUMH Council.
A. Administrative & on-site support of weekly Sunday services & Welcome Table
A.1. Onsite/operational support on Sunday mornings, 3 Sundays per month Sept-July
A.2. Assist minister as needed with preparation, proof, and photocopy of the weekly service program
A.3. Post changes to the outdoor signboard as requested
A.4. Assist minister with outreach for weekly Sunday services including social media, print media, and newsletter as requested
A.5. Manage coordination and outreach for volunteer organizational and business sponsors of Friday Welcome Table meal prep and service
B.1. Maintain a complete and systematic set of records of business transactions, accounts payable and receivable for both UUMH and the Welcome Table
B.2. Verify transactions, balance books, and prepare reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and various other items pertinent to operations of UUMH and the Welcome Table
B.5. Maintain records for memorials and special collections; send notes of acknowledgement & thanks
C. General administrative duties:
C.1. Maintain business office hours weekly; receive visitors to office and sanctuary and respond to needs.
C.2. Operate, order supplies, and recommend maintenance needs for all office equipment (i.e. copier, computer, printers, etc.), and entryway supplies: name tags, brochures, newsletters, etc.
C.3. Pick-up, open, sort and distribute incoming mail; organize and post outgoing mail.
C.4. Maintain master Google calendar including Building Use & Rentals.
C.5. Answer phone and relay messages to the Council Moderator, Minister, Music Director, or officer and/or appropriate trustees.
D.1 Assist in generating newsletter: occasional generation of articles; printing and photocopy finalized newsletter and distribution (physical and online)
D.2. Website and Facebook: regular updates of website materials, events, and postings including calendar and general maintenance.
D.3. Maintenance of indoor bulletin boards
E. Facility care and support:
E.1. Answer inquiries, requests, and coordination of facility rental.
E.2. Distribute and receive applicant Building Use forms; communicate all relevant information to the chair of Buildings and Grounds committee.
E.2. Maintain day-to-day functions including garbage removal, compost, checking dehumidifier as necessary and reporting all relevant information to chair of Buildings and Grounds.
Assist community members when appropriate.
Any other assignments made by the Council in keeping with the job.
Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, social media, and good working knowledge of Accounting software especially Quicken, ability to lift 20#, ability to write succinctly and with few errors.
